All retreats feature our complete surf, yoga & wellness program which has been designed to be enjoyed by women of all ages and abilities.
All our retreat activities are optional and guests are encourage to learn at their own pace and are invited to follow their bliss and enjoy many of the other activities available such as relaxing on the beach, getting spa treatments, shopping or experiencing the wonderful culture of Costa Rica.
Booking and Payment Policy:
Please submit the registration form on the "Reservations" tab on our website. After you have submitted a registration form and we have confirmed availability on your desired dates, we will send you a tentative reservation confirmation via email that is valid for 72 hours. Reservations require full payment of Retreat package within 72 hours of the time the reservation is made or tentative booking is automatically released.
We accept PayPal, personal checks, money orders and bank transfers. To secure your reservation, full payment is required within 72 hours of receiving your tentative booking confirmation from us. Payment details will be provided to you once we have received your registration form and Retreat availability has been confirmed.
Rates listed are per person and subject to change, however, your price will never change after it is booked and fully paid.
Retreat package rate is only guaranteed when paid in full by the individual. Package rates can increase due to supplier adjustments. To guarantee retreat rates we recommend paying in full the price quoted in writing within 72 hours of registration.
Travel and Flight Information:
Please book your flights to arrive on the first posted retreat date prior to 5pm and to depart around 9am or later on the last posted retreat date.
The airport code is LIR - Liberia, Costa Rica. We recommend Donna at Maverick Travel (www.mavericktravel.com) to help you arrange a flight that will work well with the timelines of our Retreats. You may also fly into San Jose International Airport, then take an additional flight to Tamarindo Airport via Sansa Air (smaller commuter planes). The same timelines listed above apply if you choose this option
We offer an orientation at 7:00pm on the Saturday of your arrival. If possible, please arrange your flight so that you may arrive at our Casitas in time to participate in the orientation.
If your flight arrives between 9am - 9pm our driver will be there to meet you and take you to the Retreat, which is located 45 minutes away. Our driver will meet you outside of the terminal - look for the "Sol Shine Surf and Yoga Retreats" sign! If your flight arrives outside of those times you will need to catch a taxi or shuttle from the airport .
Sol Shine Surf and Yoga Retreats is not responsible for missed transportation that is provided for you for any reason including flight delays, earlier or later departure. Transportation via shuttle or taxi will be at your own expense.
We will need your flight details 72 hours before arrival to organize your transfer. You must bring a valid passport to enter Costa Rica. All guests are responsible for proof of citizenship documents.
We highly recommend that you check with your travel agent for current information on any special passport requirements for your country of origin.
There is a $26 departure tax for all visitors leaving by air. The departure tax must be purchased at branches of the Banco Crédito Agrícola de Cartago (BCAC), which has an office in the main terminal at the airport (daily 4am-8pm). The tax can be paid in advance, which is sometimes recommended as the line at the airport can be slow moving. BCAC has numerous branches around San José and in some of the major tourist towns.
Cancellation Policy:
Sol Shine Surf and Yoga Retreats does not provide any cash, check or credit card refunds. Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason including personal emergencies.You are welcome to transfer your credit to another guest or retreat date.
If you cancel....
1) If you cancel before 90 prior to the first day of the retreat you are registered for 100% of your payment will be credited to any other date within 2 years of your original booking date.
2) If you cancel within 90 days prior to the first day of the retreat you are registered for 25% of your payment is forfeited and 75% of your balance is credited to any other date within 2 years of your original booking.
3) If you cancel within 30 days of the first day of your retreat 40% of your payment balance can be credited to any other available date within 2 years of your original booking and 60% of the payment is forfeited.
4) If you cancel within 14 days of the first day of your program there is no credit and all payment is forfeited.
6) There are no refunds for arriving late or leaving early. There are no partial refunds for any services not used while at Sol Shine Surf and Yoga Retreats.
7) All cancellations must be received in writing sent via email or registered mail.
Sol Shine Surf and Yoga Retreats is not responsible for expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled trips by a guest such as airline tickets or for costs incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellation or illness. We require all participants to obtain travel insurance with a trip cancellation policy which covers the individual. We recommend World Nomads - affordable travel insurance for the smart adventurer!
If we cancel...
We do our utmost to maintain our standard of never canceling a retreat, but if Sol Shine were to ever cancel or move a retreat, guests are welcome to move retreat dates or their payment would be refunded in full.
Sol Shine Surf and Yoga Retreat's liability will be to refund all monies paid for the total of the canceled retreat package only. Sol Shine Surf and Yoga Retreats is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any retreat such as airlines tickets, loss of work, and/or any other costs associated with your trip. Travel Insurance is highly recommended to protect you in this circumstance.
Payment to Sol Shine Surf and Yoga Retreats indicates agreement with this cancellation policy.
